It’s been awhile since I’ve had a chance to sit down and do a post. You see I’ve been really busy getting my brick n mortar shop open in Ellsworth Maine. Having a physical shop has been a long time dream of mine and it’s finally here. I opened the doors on Nov 20 2022. It defiantly has been a challenge to have what I imagined in my head to become an actual space. I must say I believe we have done it! Our shop is warm and inviting we’ve maintained the old barn feel with exposed beams, mauve walls with pale mauve accents, warm lighting (not brightly lit like a department store) a rocking chair in the corner and a work surface at the window for passerby’s to peek in and watch me working on my latest craft. I wanted our shop to be an experience not just a store. We have a monthly interactive game, where you can win a free item, a guest crafter corner for local crafters to display their talents. We switch crafters every month so the corner always has new and exciting items to check out. We also offer monthly adult workshops in a variety of different mediums, a crafters circle to build friendships and learn new craft skills, and a children’s art class every Saturday morning. Another unusual feature of the shop is on the spot T-shirt printing and our willingness to customize orders for you. We want our customers to be able to purchase the perfect item for their home or gift. Something that will be cherished and not stuck in a drawer somewhere.
